Chitwa Chitwa Sabi Sands

Chitwa Chitwa is a luxury eco-friendly lodge located in the sought-after Sabi Sands. Ideal for guests seeking to reduce their carbon footprint, the luxurious Chitwa Chitwa sets a new standard of luxury for planet-friendly lodges. Over the past few years, Chitwa’s green initiative has grown, and now includes solar water heating,  grey water recycling system, energy saving air con, and natural thatched roofs to name but a few.

Chitwa has a few options available for guests. There’s the Chitwa House, Chitwa Suite, and Charlsy Suite.

The chic Chitwa House was built in response to guests’ request for a more private and exclusive group safari experience. Two large en-suite rooms cocoon a spacious common area, and each have their own private decks with outdoor showers. The shared central area has a view of the lake, and has a lounge/bar and swimming pool under the stars.

Activities include private game drives with your own guide and tracker. This means that your guide can seek out wildlife that you’re focused on seeing.

There are six Chitwa Suites each decorated in a modern, African style. All suites open out onto private decks with private pools boasting exceptional views of the lake. The waterhole in front of the lodge is the drinking hole for predators and a host of other wildlife. Suites are equipped with a deep bath tub, fireplace, outdoor shower, and more.

One of the suites, the Charlsy Suite, has inter-leading rooms and its own shared comfortable living area.

Idube Sabi Sands

The 5-star Idube Game Reserve in the Sabi Sands focuses on protecting rhino and is known for its conservation efforts. Idube’s traverse spans over 10 000 hectares of mixed bushveld and is renown for its leopard, cheetah, and African wild dog sightings.

The lodge itself comprises two accommodation options: chalets and suites, both of which have recently undergone a huge refurb. Interiors are inspired by Africa, but the lodge carefully brings in elements from the outside to ensure a natural feel throughout. Chalets come equipped with baths, outside showers, and private decks.

With the fire-pit, gazebo, and fully stocked bar, you’ll find that main areas are built for socialising. A gym, curio shop, and swimming pool provides idyllic spaces to unwind. In terms of activities, safari-goers can expect an array of activities from bush walks to game drives, and more.
